Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gym Leaders and Elite Four Teased by Leaker – GameRant

A known Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaker hints at what Pokemon types Gen 9’s Gym Leaders and Elite Four members will specialize in.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have only gotten two trailers since they were first revealed on February 27 of this year, and it's possible that a new one is on the way. Not a lot is known about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's region nor about its Pokemon, though the first two trailers shared some details about the starters, new characters, and the game's scope — a huge region that's fully explorable in any order. Still, nothing official is known about Generation 9's Gyms and the corresponding Gym Leaders, which is something that's been a staple of the series ever since the first Pokemon games were released.
Pokemon Sun and Moon and Pokemon Sword and Shield did shake up the Gym formula a bit by offering slightly different challenges, but Pokemon Scarlet and Violet seemingly reprise the original concept of Gym battles. In fact, a known Pokemon leaker by the name of Riddler Khu teased what sort of Pokemon types the Gym Leaders and Elite Four in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will specialize in, and it's possible that new trailers released in the summer will confirm these bits of information.

Riddler Khu, who has been leaking correct information about Pokemon games for a long time now, shared several tweets today about new things coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and they had multiple posts about the various Gym Leaders and Elite Four. The first tweet states that the associated image contains 40% of the Gym Leaders' types in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, with the image itself including all Gym Leaders from Pokemon Red and Blue as well as Koga's daughter and Kanto's Champion, Blue. Because there are ten characters total, only four of them will share the same types as the Gym Leaders in Gen 9, and fans can easily rule out Koga's daughter and the Champion because they are specialized either in repeat types or have a multi-type team, respectively.
The second tweet states that 50% of the Gym Leaders shown in the associated picture have the same types as those in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and this time the picture showcases all Gym Leaders in Pokemon's Johto region. The types, in this case, are Flying, Bug, Normal, Ghost, Fighting, Steel, Ice, and Dragon, with four of them returning for four Gym Leaders in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Another tweet from Riddler Khu also states that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Elite Four members will all have repeat types, meaning that they will be the same types as past Pokemon games, but mixed around.
While Pokemon fans wait for more official information on Gen 9, new alleged leaks will keep on surfacing online. Such is the case for the alleged leak that shows Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's regional variant for Wooper, a Gen 2 Pokemon. Similar posts appear quite often on various social media, however, and Riddler Khu is one of the only leakers with a proven track record thus far.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release on November 18 for Nintendo Switch.
